It’s Not Too Late: There’s Still Time to Sell Coins on Ebay
Still have a few coins you’d like to unload on ebay, but not sure if it makes sense to try it so close to Christmas? A blog post on the site of ebay data-master Terapeak offers a few tips for making a successful online sale during the waning days of a hectic shopping season. Some of author Aron Hsaio’s thoughts will apply more to people who have at least a small online store, but a person with a couple extra 5-ounce Uncirculated ATB coins can benefit, too

Display Options for the 1916 Centennial Gold Coin Trio
You’ve Completed the Centennial Trio—Now What?
Those who’ve completed the three-coin set of 1916 Centennial Gold Coins have a dilemma: how are you going to display them? Having shelled out more than $1,500 for the trio, you may have simply put them in the safe or a bank vault, or sent them to a third-party grader. But you may also want to keep your three gold beauties close to hand, where they’ll be safe but you still can admire them—and show them off—anytime you like
High-End Sets Usually a Bargain — This One Was Stunning
As you can see, I won this Jefferson nickel set in a Capitol Coin Auction on Proxibid. The set was described as special, and because I trusted auctioneer Brad Lisembee’s numismatic skills, I bid $300, with the set coming in a hundred less than my maximum
Canada: 25th Anniversary of First Canadian Woman in Space Celebrated on New Silver Curved Coin
On November 1, the Royal Canadian Mint launched a celebratory coin that remembers the day Canada’s first female astronaut blasted off into space: January 22, 1992, aboard the United States space shuttle Discovery on mission STS-42. Twenty-five years later, Canadians celebrate her inspiring accomplishment with the world’s first-ever curved and glow-in-the-dark silver coin, which was unveiled by Dr

U.S. Mint Sales Report: 30th-Anniversary American Silver Eagle Proof Debuts
In the three days between its initial release and the Mint’s updated sales report, the Proof American Silver Eagle—with special edge denoting the 30th anniversary of the American Eagle bullion coin program—has done well, with 322,317 sold. Although the strong number has been slightly disappointing to some collectors, who expected more of a blockbuster performance, the ASE Proof is easily the biggest seller of the week
The Future of Numismatics

New 5 oz First World War Centennial Gold & Silver Coins Released in UK
The Royal Mint has launched the second release in their “100th Anniversary of the First World War” series, continuing an observance of the centenary of the Great War that will last five years, mirroring the duration of the war itself.
With political tensions growing between great and small states in Europe, and continuing calls for independence by many territories within the expansive Austro-Hungarian Empire, the spark that would ignite the ferocious fighting to come was struck in June 1914
